NNA - Acting Governor of the Lebanese Central Bank, Wassim Mansouri, on Thursday visited President of the Republic General Jospeh Aoun, at Baada presidential palace.

Speaking in the wake of the meeting, Mansouri pointed out that "the monetary situation has improved and foreign currency reserves have increased by approximately $300 million since President Aoun took office."

Mansouri stressed that "the policy of the Central Bank of Lebanon is to maintain the value of the Lebanese pound and not to interfere in the market."

The BDL Governor also indicated that there is a great foreign interest to communicate with Lebanon, predicting that “the country’s economic situation will improve with the flow of dollars into the country."
