NNA – President Joseph Aoun has received an invitation from the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to visit Qatar, handed to him by Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, whom he met at Baabda Palace on Thursday.

“I would like to reiterate my congratulations on your election as President of the sisterly Lebanese Republic, wishing your Excellency health and success, and hoping that your tenure will witness a new stage where security, stability, and prosperity will prevail in your country,” said Emir Tamim in his invitation letter.

He added that the date of President Aoun’s visit to Qatar will be determined through the diplomatic channels.

Following the meeting, the Qatari Ambassador stressed his country’s continuous support for the Lebanese army in 2025. “We have always been pioneers in supporting Lebanon in all the political, economic, and military fields,” he said.
