NNA – MP Qassem Hashem stressed that the decision of the “Development and Liberation” and “Loyalty to the Resistance” blocs to boycott he non-binding parliamentary consultations for forming the new government does not mean boycotting the government and Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam.
“These consultations are non-binding, and they do not prevent side contacts and understandings,” he told “Sawt Kel Lebnen” radio station. “The bloc’s position is a matter of political principle to voice objection to breaking an agreement regarding the designation,” he explained. “Both blocs will work with the (other) sides so that Lebanon exits its crises and they will stand by the aspirations and hopes of the Lebanese,” he said.
