NNA - Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, on Wednesday honored renowned TV and film director and producer, Ahmad Al-Ashi, during a ceremony at the Ministry of Information. Al-Ashi was accompanied by his wife, journalist Souad Karout, as part of a series of tributes to luminaries who contributed to the legacy of Télé Liban.  

Expressing his gratitude, Al-Ashi described the recognition as "a beautiful initiative by Minister Makary toward individuals who laid the foundation of Télé Liban and excelled in their work." 

"This honor provides a sense of motivation and euphoria, even as we advance in age and reach retirement,” Al-Ashi added. 

In turn, Minister Makary extended his gratitude to media outlets for highlighting the success of “Album Al-Asala”, a program aired on Télé Liban. 

Makary especially signaled out Marcel Nadeem, Editor-in-Chief of “Prestige” magazine, for hosting a celebration in honor of the show after 30 episodes.
