NNA – Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Tuesday received U.S. Ambassador Lisa Johnson at the Grand Serail, with whom he discussed current developments. 

During the meeting, Ambassador Johnson praised Mikati’s efforts during his tenure as Prime Minister and the cooperation established with him. She expressed her wishes for Lebanon’s prosperity, stability, and success. 

Mikati also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, with whom he discussed the current situation. 

The PM later welcomed Minister of Youth and Sports, George Kallas, who stated: "I discussed ministry affairs with His Excellency and expressed gratitude for the trust he has placed in me and his support during the tenure of this government, which has shouldered a national responsibility during a critical period. The sacrifices made by Prime Minister Mikati are nationally appreciated and recognized on the international stage. I wish the designated Prime Minister every success and hope the new era begins with promise, reflecting the aspirations of all Lebanese."
