NNA – Caretaker Minister of National Defense, Maurice Sleem, met, at his Yarze office on Tuesday, met with the new Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Fabrizio Marcelli, who paid him an acquaintance visit upon assuming his diplomatic mission in Lebanon.
Discussions during the meeting touched on the bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the field of military cooperation, as well as Italy’s continuous support to the Lebanese Army.
Minister Sleem also discussed with MP Alain Aoun the latest developments in the country.
Sleem then met with MP Nicolas Sehnaoui, with whom he broached the general situation.
The Minister also received former MP Shant Janjanian.
