NNA - Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, confirmed the League's "standing by Lebanon, the government and the people."

Following his meeting with President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, in Baabda, he said: "We listened to President Aoun's speech, in which he explained the Lebanese situation and the country's need for support."

He concluded by hoping for the country's wellness.
