NNA - Free Patriotic Movement Leader, MP Gebran Bassil, on Tuesday welcomed the Director-General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Eng. Louis Lahoud. 

During the meeting, the pair discussed the situation of the agricultural sector in Lebanon, the programs carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture, and the necessary steps to encourage investments in the agriculture, to increase agricultural areas, to encourage farmers, to enhance food security, to increase agricultural exports to foreign markets, and to market Lebanese agricultural products. 

Agricultural projects in Batroun district were also discussed between both men.
