NNA - Speaker of the House Nabih Berri met at his Ein-Teeneh residence with a delegation representing the league of former MPs, headed by former Deputy Speaker, Michael Maalouli.
Following the meeting, Maalouli said he had proposed to the House Speaker and Prime Minister the formation of a national salvation government comprising of the league members.
Maalouli stated that these former members enjoy unique expertise, especially in their legislative and executive neutrality policy.
He also stressed that a cabinet comprising of these members would serve Lebanon best, due to the fact that "they have no political affiliations."
