Mansour files complaint against Israel on spying charges

NNA - Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Adnan Mansour said he had sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon with a complaint against Israel, against the backdrop of spying on Lebanon. The complaint was attached with a CD containing the coordinates and bugging devices planted by Israel on the Lebanese-Palestinian border, "which constitutes a flagrant violation of the international law and a continuous aggression against the Lebanese territory, the people and the security and military forces."

Mansour also addressed a letter in this context to the Foreign Ministers of the Security Council's 15 non-permanent states and a note to the Secretary- General of the Arab League Nabil ElArabi, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the head of the Non-Aligned Movement and the coordinator of Foreign Affairs of the European Union Catherine Ashton.

Mansour stressed that "this aggression carried out by Israel is a violation of international laws and relevant international resolutions, in particular resolution 1701."

Asked about the Geneva II, Mansour replied that Lebanon will attend it and "whoever the Lebanese Foreign Minister is, he will be heading the Lebanese delegation to the Geneva Conference."
