NNA - First Lady Wafaa Sleiman granted Sunday head of Beirut Marathon Association, May Khalil, National Order of the Cedar Medal on behalf of President Michel Sleiman in recognition of her work on a national level.



Sleiman said during her participation in Beirut International Marathon that this event shows the vigour of Lebanon in face of challenges and brings together youth from all sects. Thirty Six Thousand participants partook in today's sports event.



Representing Yadouna Foundation, which cares for the health of women's hearts and prevention of heart disease, Sleiman hoped that sports would be integrated in the daily lives of all Lebanese.



"God willing this day will give the people a space for hope, comfort and reassurance."
