NNA - The Youth and Sports committee called on the government to pay its dues for all the companies who partook in the 2009 Francophone games.
Chaired by MP Abi Ramiya, the committee met in session today in presence of MPs Bilal Farhat, Fadi Aawar, Michel Helo, Naji Gharios and Simon Abi Ramiya.
MPs Ali Meqdad, Ziad Aswad, Dory Chamoun, Nadim Gemayel, Ammar Houry, Khaled Zahraman and Bahiya Hariri, were absent.
Abi Ramiya spoke following the meeting and said that there were over 400 Lebanese companies that did not receive their financial rights from the Lebanese government.
"The Francophone tour total costs were up to LBP 26 billion of which the Lebanese government still has to pay LBP 2 billion," Abi Ramiya explained.
