NNA – The Lebanese Army on Wednesday began reinforcing its presence in the South Litani region, in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). 

This move aligns with Lebanon’s commitment to fully implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which mandates the expansion of state authority and the deployment of security forces across the region. 

As part of this operation, military units are transferring from various regions to designated positions in South Litani to strengthen their presence and ensure security.
