NNA - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to embark on a new Middle Eastern tour that includes a visit to the Israeli Occupation, starting Thursday evening.

A US official, cited by Agence France-Presse (AFP), stated that Blinken will depart the United States on Thursday evening for a journey that includes Tel Aviv and several other stops in the Middle East. The official declined to provide details about the specific schedule and stops of this trip.

This will mark Blinken's fifth official visit to the Israeli occupation and his fourth to the region since the start of “Operation Aqsa Typhoon” on October 7, 2023.

The United States affirmed that the pressures exerted “behind the scenes” on Tel Aviv have borne fruit in recent days, leading to the allowance of aid trucks into Gaza and the opening of a second border crossing into the Strip.--agencies
