NNA - Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Hajjar on Monday chaired a preparatory meeting for the upcoming municipal and mukhtar elections at his office. 

The meeting was attended by the Governor of North Lebanon, Judge Ramzi Nohra, Akkar Governor Imad Labaki, the ministry’s director generals, the commander of the Internal Security Forces’ Northern Region, district commissioners, and officers from the ministry’s task force.

The meeting reviewed the readiness of the two governorates on the eve of the official call for the electorate.

Minister Hajjar listened to the needs and requirements necessary to complete preparations in the governorates and districts, emphasizing the importance of conducting the upcoming elections with full integrity, transparency, and absolute neutrality.

Hajjar also stressed the need for full coordination between the governors and the Internal Security Forces to ensure the proper conduct of the electoral process and the maintenance of public order.
