NNA - Agriculture Minister, Nizar Hani, on Friday met with a Lebanese Forces delegation led by MP Chawki Daccache, with whom he discussed sector challenges and cooperation opportunities.

The delegation called for stricter border control to curb smuggling, modernizing agriculture through soilless farming, and expanding training efforts. They urged ministry support for cooperatives, accelerated implementation of cannabis cultivation, and greater diplomatic efforts to promote Lebanese produce.

Minister Hani welcomed collaboration and confirmed the upcoming appointment of the cannabis regulatory authority. The LF offered to support model farming projects and requested a role in shaping future agricultural reform plans through their party’s Agricultural Office.
