NNA - Former Minister Wadih El-Khazen reiterated Speaker Nabih Berri's position on the serious developments in the south, following the launch of rockets from an unknown source in southern Lebanon.

In an issued statement today, he said, "We affirm what was stated in Speaker Nabih Berri's position, that Israel is the primary and ultimate beneficiary of any fabeicated security tension in the south, as it seeks to use these events to achieve its strategic goals, whether by justifying its ongoing attacks or by attempting to impose a new reality that serves its interests."

El-Khazen considered that addressing these developments "requires national awareness and wise stances to thwart any attempt to destabilize security and stability in Lebanon."
