Salam assures participants at Beirut's Seaside Arena Event that "Lebanon has a real opportunity for reform"

NNA - Thousands of Lebanese gathered at Beirut’s Seaside Arena on Friday evening, in an unprecedented artistic gathering and musical concert, with calls for change and restoring Lebanon's glory.

Attended by no less than 10,000 people, the event was more than just a musical celebration but rather a clear declaration of the Lebanese people’s will for change and a move towards a better future.

Participants showed their support for the new mandate of President Joseph Aoun and the government of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and for a new path that will restore Lebanon’s stability and glory, and help the state extend its authority, away from wars and divisions.

In a word to the attendees, PM Salam stressed the importance of such a historic moment and affirmed that "Lebanon has a real opportunity for reform," noting that "the confidence that the government has gained is confidence in Lebanon and the future of Lebanon's youth,” adding that “it is the government of reform and salvation.”

“Beirut is the ancient city that deserves to live in peace and is worthy of beauty and freedom. It is the capital of literature and arts in this region, and this artistic gathering is clear evidence of the return of Beirut as we know it,” Salam continued.

The musical concert was also attended by prominent official figures, including Information Minister Paul Marcos, Beirut Governor Judge Marwan Abboud, MP Waddah Al-Sadek, and former Minister of Tele-Communications. They all stressed their support for the Lebanese aspirations and their determination to work towards achieving the people's demands.

Minister Marcos pointed out that "with the beginning of the new mandate, we see an atmosphere of joy, solidarity, and hard work to rebuild. This is something that rarely happens in Lebanon, but it suits the Lebanese, as they deserve this mandate after all the destruction and devastation that the country has been endured."

For his part, Governor Abboud considered that "this celebration comes after the election of the president and the government gaining confidence, and it is a historic milestone that moves us from the stage of steadfastness to the stage of progress,” adding that Lebanon will once again attract its sons at home and abroad, and we will see economic and social movement that will restore life to Beirut and all of Lebanon.

In turn, MP Al-Sadek confirmed the great joy that people are feeling, especially with the election of the new president and the government gaining confidence.
