NNA - Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Thursday received a phone call from Austrian Foreign Minister, Alexander Schallenberg, during which the pair discussed Lebanese-Austrian relations. The conversation also covered the situation in southern Lebanon and regional dynamics, as well as international efforts aimed at halting Israeli aggression.
Earlier, Prime Minister Mikati chaired a ministerial meeting, which focused on the government's efforts to support the residents of southern Lebanon amidst ongoing Israeli attacks. They evaluated the actions taken so far and proposed additional measures to address any potential emergencies.
Prime Minister Mikati separately held a meeting with Interior Minister, Judge Bassam Mawlawi.
Additionally, Mikati received Member of Parliament, Elie Khoury, from the "Strong Republic" bloc to discuss general conditions and matters related to the city of Tripoli.
Prime Minister Mikati also met with MP Adib Abdel Massih, who stated on emerging that discussions with the PM covered developmental issues concerning the Koura region.
Finally, Prime Minister Mikati met with Judge Mohammad Badran, President of the Court of Audit.
