NNA - General Abbas Ibrahim on Tuesday took to his social media platforms to highlight the increasing burden of Syrian refugees in Lebanon on various fronts, including demographics, social dynamics, economy, politics, and security. He emphasized that their presence has not only become a strain on Lebanon but also poses a danger to the refugees themselves, citing daily incidents with repercussions for both Lebanese society and institutions.

In his post, Ibrahim urged for immediate action, questioning the Lebanese state's and the international community's delay in finding a solution. He called for a national conference, inviting all Lebanese political factions without exception, to tackle this pressing issue. Ibrahim also emphasized the need for bold national initiatives, urging a departure from seasonal partisan or sectarian approaches.
