NNA - Head of the Lebanese Economic Committees, former minister Mohammad Choucair, on Friday welcomed at the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber headquarters, the Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Ibrahim Abdel Aziz al-Sahlawi, who paid him a farewell visit marking the end of his diplomatic mission in Lebanon.

Discussions during the visit touched on the country's latest developments.

Choucair thanked Ambassador Al-Sahlawi for all the efforts he made during his tenure as ambassador of the Qatari state, in mainly supporting Lebanon and the Lebanese people during the difficult stage the country is going through.

Choucair also thanked the sisterly Qatar for its "permanent standing by Lebanon and its people."

For his part, Ambassador Al-Sahlawi hailed the close relationship and constructive cooperation with Choucair, stressing Qatar's permanent support for Lebanon and its stand by its side.
