NNA - US President Donald Trump threatened on Sunday to bomb Iran in an unprecedented manner if Tehran does not reach an agreement with Washington to ensure it does not develop a nuclear weapon, according to Sky News Arabia.
During a telephone interview with NBC News, Trump threatened to bomb Iran and impose secondary tariffs if it does not reach an agreement with the United States to ensure it does not develop a nuclear weapon.
Trump said of Iran: "If they don't make a deal, there will be a bombardment. It will be a bombardment like they've never seen before." He explained that "conversations are taking place between American and Iranian officials."
Iran had threatened on Sunday to use what it described as an offensive approach and increased force to deal with its perceived enemies.
In a statement, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces warned "all enemies who have miscalculated that any threat, aggression, warmongering, or violation of Iran's territorial integrity will be met with increased force and an aggressive approach."
The statement explained that "the Iranian armed forces are ready to defend their land and principles with all their might."
