NNA - A 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Tonga in the Pacific Ocean on Sunday, prompting a tsunami warning, according to the US Geological Survey, as reported by Agence France-Presse.

The US Tsunami Warning System said, "Hazardous tsunami waves from this earthquake are possible within a 300-kilometer radius of the earthquake epicenter along the coast of Tonga."
