NNA - The Islamic University in Lebanon congratulated in an issued statement this evening, "the Lebanese in general, and the southerners in particular, on the heroic liberation epic of the southern villages from the brutal Zionist enemy."

The statement indicated that "in order to permit students, employees and administration members to complete the return journey to the liberated territories, the Islamic University in Lebanon will be closed in all its branches tomorrow, and regular work will resume on Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025."

The statement cited the words of the founding Imam Sayyed Musa al-Sadr, who said: "The adherence of the son of the south to his region and his home despite what he is exposed to is the least duty, for experience has confirmed that displacement exposes the land to Israeli ambitions, and the honor of the sons of the south and their history prove that they will remain attached to their land."

"Congratulations on the liberation and return, mercy is upon the martyrs, healing to the wounded, and patience to the bereaved families," the statement concluded.
