NNA - Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Tuesday received at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El Tineh, Progressive Socialist Party leader and head of the "Democratic Gathering" bloc, MP Taymour Jumblatt, in the presence of MP Wael Abou Faour.
Discussions reportedly touched on the general situation, political and field developments, and legislative affairs.
Speaker Berri also received in Ain el-Tineh, Public Health Minister, Dr. Rakan Nassereddine, who came on an acquaintance visit upon assuming his new ministerial duties.
The visit was an occasion to review the general situation and health issues.
On the other hand, on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Speaker Berri sent a congratulatory cable to the Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Marking the same occasion, the Speaker sent similar congratulatory cables to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, and Speaker of the Shura Council, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf
