NNA - President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Friday welcomed Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, who handed him a congratulatory message from Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. 

The message included an invitation for President Aoun to visit Egypt at the earliest opportunity for coordination and consultation.  

In his message, President El-Sisi expressed Egypt’s full support for Lebanon, both its government and people.

El-Sisi emphasized Egypt's readiness to assist Lebanon in overcoming the consequences of war and destruction and to participate in Lebanon's reconstruction efforts. He also reiterated Egypt's commitment to supporting Lebanon’s state institutions and the Lebanese Army to ensure its presence across all Lebanese territories, including the South.  

President Aoun separately welcomed Minister Ghazi Al-Aridi at Baabda Palace, with whom he discussed the latest developments in the country.
