NNA -  Honorary Consul General of the Federal Republic of Nepal in Lebanon, Elcheikh Mohamed Wissam Ghouzayel, addressed today his country's battalion operating within the peacekeeping forces in south Lebanon, thanking them for what they are doing for peace.

He said: “In my personal name and in my capacity as Honorary Consul General of the Federal Republic of Nepal in Lebanon, I would like to extend my highest gratitude and appreciation to all of you, to your honorable leaders, officers and soldiers, who are standing steadfast in the areas of Mays al-Jabal, Naqoura, and southern Lebanon. You are laying down your lives in order to achieve stability and world peace, and this reflects the greatness of your commitment and courage.”

He added: “I am fully aware of the extent of the difficulties you face on a daily basis, in the Mays al-Jabal area, Naqoura and southern Lebanon, where you suffer under the sounds of bombardment and loud artillery in these critical areas. Yet despite this, you remain steadfast and committed to your noble mission.”

"We, both the Nepalese and Lebanese people, are proud of you and appreciate your great work," he asserted.

The Honorary Consul concluded: "Your efforts are not in vain. Every step you take towards peace is a step towards a better future for all. We always stand with you and support you in your humanitarian and peaceful message. Thank you from the heart for everything you do for peace and humanity."
