(UPDATE) Judge Cameron showcases further evidences as trial resumes

NNA - STL's Judge Cameron put on view the data of phone calls the four suspects in Rafic Hariri's 2005 killing had made, as part of evidences' showcase during the court's trial in The Hague that has resumed on Thursday afternoon.

Cameron explained that Badreddine had used 13 cell phones and that Ayyash, for his part, had used 11 phones, two landline telephones, five personal cell phones, and four devices special to the mission.

He also said that Faqra telecom pole (A) covered an uncrowded countryside area where the former Lebanese Premier owned a residence.

Cameron further clarified that the conspiracy of Hariri's killing took place throughout five stages, indicating that before Hariri's resignation, the five phones of Badreddine and Ayyash had not been used.

Cameron went on to say that Hariri left his house to submit his resignation and then fifteen minutes after he returned to Qoreitem, a call the Blue phone and another one in south Beirut was detected.

"A call from Badreddine to Ayyash was detected. Badreddine was nearby the crime scene. When Badreddine and Ayyash moved, they contacted the same cell pole in Chiyah and then calls were stopped. We conclude that the two were heading to meet each other," he continued.

"The nature of the collected information relevant to Hariri's movements had changed after the resignation. Since day one, the two key cell phones appeared and Hariri's chase started," he added.

"The first call was registered between Badreddine and Ayyash through the Green mobile lines network half an hour after Hariri's resignation. In the first stage of planning on killing Hariri, a primary observation of Hariri began and calls got active between the two suspects," he said.

He also mentioned that Hariri had spent the holidays at his residence in Faqra and that a number of conspirators were in the house's vicinity at the same time.
