NNA - STL President, Judge David Baragwanath, on Thursday opened STL's sessions in The Hague and listed the different stages of the trial proceedings, while pledging a fair trial for the victims and the accused alike.



The trial in absentia of the four suspects accused of killing late martyr, Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri, has opened nine years after the bomb attack in which the former prime minister and 21 others died.



The four suspects are accused of planning the 2005 blast which took place near Beirut's Saint George Yacht Club, and which witnessed the founding of Lebanon's major political opponents, March 8 and March 14.
