NNA - The dispute that occurred on Monday in one of the universities did not include any security violation that necessitated army units' intervention, Lebanese Army Command-Guidance Directorate said in a communiqué.



"The matter was confined to a diatribe among students on a political background," army said.



The entry of the army and security forces to any university campus is pre-conditioned by a request from the university administration or the security forces in charge of its protection- the matter which did not take place, communiqué added.



Despite all this, a unit of the army arrived at said university to prevent aggravation of situation, communiqué concluded.
