NNA - Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, declined during a TV interview to compare the security situation in Lebanon to that of Syria or Iraq, stating that there is a popular and political Lebanese decision not to allow the spread of terrorism.
The Ambassador stated that Iran has utmost trust in the investigations the Lebanese state was conducting in uncovering the details of the twin bombings which targeted the Iranian embassy last Tuesday. He also revealed that Iran has sent over experts and specialists of its own to aid Lebanon in the investigation.
"The Zionist entity is always behind such blasts in the region; and those executing these terrorist crimes are serving the goals of this entity whether knowingly or unknowingly."
