NNA - The Head of the General Union of the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries Adnan Qassar participated in the second European-Arab Forum 2013 which is held in Amman until November 21 under the auspices of King Abdullah II.
The forum aims to deepen economic cooperation between the European Union and the Arab world under the current regional and international circumstances, because of the extreme importance of economic relations between the two sides and the significance of charting a new course and opening a new page of strong partnership for better growth and development in various fields.
Qassar inaugurated the Forum with a speech in which he greeted King Abdullah II, praising his efforts in terms of economic growth.
"Jordan has now become one of the leading countries in the region in economic reform, and has received better attention from major international companies, businessmen and Arab investors," he noted.
Qassar stressed the importance of deepening the Euro-Arab cooperation, calling to overcome the obstacles, mainly the trade protectionism toward Arab agricultural exports.
"Cooperation which comes in support of Arab economic and trade integration will have a comprehensive impact on expanding horizons for Arab-European Economic Relations," Qassar concluded.
