NNA - President of the Republic, Michel Sleiman, expressed on Wednesday his relief over security prevalence in Tripoli, calling upon all political parties to keep their different political stances away from the field security situation.
Sleiman stressed that there "is no turning back", calling upon everybody to end this odd situation, close the door in the face of any foreign repercussions to prevent them from disrupting the city.
Separately, the President met with the Former Premier Deputy Issam Abou Jamra with discussions featuring high on the current political, governmental and security developments over the domestic scene.
Sleiman also discussed with Deputy Mohammad Qabbani, the parliamentary situation given that the legislative session has not convened lately.
Sleiman also welcomed in Baabda Palace Former Deputy Moustapha Hashem and discussed with him the general issues.
Separately, the President received from a delegation from the Army Command an invitation to preside the ceremony and military parade which would be held on 22 November 2013 to mark the 70th Independence anniversary.
Sleiman also welcomed a delegation of the family of late singer Wadih Al-Safi, who thanked him on paying his condolences over the death of the renowned singer.
