NNA - Outgoing Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui asserted Sunday the need for the resistance to hold a telecom network to aid it in its fight against the enemy, but noted that it was totally independent of the State's network.
The Minister recalled during a radio interview today that the victory of the Resistance in 2006 would not have been fulfilled had the enemy managed to breach the telecommunications network of Hezbollah.
"Coordination on the Hezbollah network must take place between the military and the Resistance, since these two are an essential part of the defence system of the country."
He added that his ministry has not allowed the Resistance to install its own telecom network through the state.
