NNA - Caretaker Minister of Interior and Municipalities Marwan Charbel received on Friday at his ministerial office the caretaker Minister of Information Walid Daouk with whom he tackled the general situation, especially the national security and the cooperation between the two ministries.



Following the meeting, Daouk pointed that "the meeting dealt with the general political and security conditions."



"We discussed the security plan to be implemented in Tripoli," he added, uttering satisfaction over the project carried out in the southern suburbs of Beirut, which is considered an achievement he hopes it gets applied in Lebanon's second capital.



Daouk said discussions also featured high on the prison conditions that require increased attention at all levels, in order to make prisons modern, taking into account the international standards of human rights.



Daouk pointed out that "these challenges facing Lebanon urge us to cool the media discourse and form a government as soon as possible, to address the political, security and social files."
