NNA - The general Arab position supportive of a likely US direct attack on war-torn Syria drew sharp rebuke of House Speaker Nabih Berri, who expressed related bitterness on Wednesday.



During his regular weekly meeting with lawmakers at Ain-el-Tineh, Berri broached an array of local, regional, and international dossiers.



Turning to Lebanon, he capitalized on the necessity to create a national unity government amid the current juncture he deemed as "exceptional."



He separately met with caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ghazi Aridi.



He also met with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Derek Plumbly.
