NNA - Outgoing Prime Minister Najib Mikati visited Monday Head of the Muslim Scholars Committee, Sheikh Salem Rafei, at his Koura residence, National News Agency correspondent reported.



Mikati reportedly paid condolences on the martyrdom of the victims of the two deadly bombings that jolted Tripoli last week.



Speaking on the occasion, Mikati said that talks with Sheikh Rafei touched on the damages the city was inflicted by, affirming that accommodation allowances will be spent as of Tuesday morning.



"The army units are scanning the area, in cooperation with the HRC, and after they conclude their works the adequate compensation allowances amounts shall be distributed," he explained.



Asked about ongoing investigations, Mikati said security and judicial apparatuses were fulfilling their obligations in that respect.



"The government is resigned but it doesn't mean that it refrains from practicing its responsibilities," he said.
