NNA - Batroun lawmaker Boutros Harb upped called on Monday for the establishment of additional civil airports immediately to avoid what he termed as security dangers sparked by those taking grip of Beirut airport and of the roads leading to the facility.



"Although we understand the suffering of Azaz abductees' relatives, the aviation movement in Lebanon has become dependent on the uncontrolled security juncture and the reactions of these families. This takes a toll on the already ailing economic and social situation," he said in a statement.



"We consider that the Lebanese are entitled to call for alternative airports in case the roads leading to Rafic Hariri International Airport are blocked," he added, stressing that the current caretaker government is unable to curb security chaos "resulting from the wide spread of illegitimate weapons."
