NNA - Outgoing Minister of Culture, Gaby Layyoun, sponsored the launching of the "Memory of old Lebanese films" in Douma, in the presence of outgoing ministers of Tourism, Fadi Abboud, and Energy Gebran Bassil and advisor to Minister Layyoun, the owner of the Duma cinema, Antoine Fachfach.
This initiative is to show an old Lebanese film every Friday and Saturday at 19h. Access to cinema will be free throughout the month of August.
Outgoing ministers uttered words in which they stressed the importance of this initiative for the town, an initiative that revives Lebanese heritage and customs.
After the ceremony, a documentary on the Batroun region was screened, followed by a film tribute to the late artist "Chouchou."
Layyoun also toured the village of Douma, where he visited the market, tourist and religious sites.
