NNA - The outgoing Minister of Interior and Municipalities Marwan Charbel, strongly condemned the rocket attacks on the area of Baabda, describing this act as"attacking the army and the presidential palace."
In a radio interview Saturday with Voice of Lebanon, Charbel noted that the speech of President Sleiman on the occasion of Army Day did not strictly target Hezbollah weapons "but all the weapons that are used in fights outside the country."
It was in this context that the head of state had denounced the inclusion of Hezbollah on the blacklist of terrorist organizations in the European Union.
Separately, the minister raised the alarm about the unmanageable flow of displaced Syrians.
"Many of the displaced do not return home after the war, either because of the destruction, or out of fear of the new regime," he said, fearing serious repercussions that may be imposed in the presence of Syrians in Lebanon specifically on the economy and the security situation.
