NNA - Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Beshara Boutros Rahi met Friday afternoon, in the patriarchal edifice in Diman, with MP Boutros Harb who said following the meeting that only a legal authority can govern Lebanon and all Lebanese must join under this legitimate power which means that every weapon outside the control of the state cannot be positive, but will generate other illegal arms, and therefore, will lead to discord among the Lebanese.


The Maronite Church, according to Harb, has not disappointed Lebanon and the Lebanese throughout history, but has always offered its leadership and protection to all factions of society.


"We should all cooperate to bring back the concept of the state and to be dedicated to the principles upon which the state was built, which are democracy, freedom, justice and security."
