NNA - The international campaign for releasing the Lebanese detained, George Abdallah, held for the past 29 years in French prisons, organized a huge sit-in on Sunday in front of French Ambassador Patrice Paoli's residence headquarters in Beirut.


The sit-in coincided with the reception held by Ambassador Paoli marking the French National Day at the Pine Palace in Beirut .


Approximately 100 participants took part in the 3-hour sit-in, raising banners calling for his release and photos of Abdallah dated back to 2009 when he was taken to court in France.
