Houri calls to ease Salam's mission

NNA - Member of Parliament Ammar Houri said that it is time to ease Prime Minister designate Tammam Salam's mission and find solutions to the accumulative complications which Lebanon is passing through.

Commenting on Speaker Nabih Berri's words in which he called to facilitate Salam's mission and pointed out to the disintegration of March 8 forces, Houri said that the "end of March 8 is not new information and they have not been found practically since a long time and were limited to Hizballah and the group that spin in its orbit."

"It seems time has come for some March 8 Forces components to consider repositioning," Houri added.

He pointed out that Hizballah and Amal's demand to have five ministers in the new cabinet and Free Patriotic demand to have five ministers also means that they are aiming at exceeding the 888 formula.

Houri rejected to limit sectarian or confessional representation to one party without the other.

He said that it might be wise if we all forget about pre-conditions because national unity is required in supporting the cabinet to be formed by Salam in agreement with President Michel Sleiman.

The Deputy said that March 14 has never talked about veto on having a certain party in the new cabinet.
