NNA - President of the Republic Michel Sleiman tackled at the Presidential Palace in Baabda with caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the political and security situation prevailing at present over Lebanon, and the best means to address security-related issues.



President Sleiman also headed a meeting attended by Mikati and caretaker Ministers of National Defence, Fayez Ghosn, Interior and Municipalities, Marwan Charbel, and Telecommunications Nicolas Sehnawi, as well as by Director General of State Security, Major General George Qoraa, Army Intelligence Chief, Brigadier General Edmond Fadel, Director General of the Internal Security Forces Acting Brigadier General Ibrahim Basbous, head of the ISF Information Branch, Colonel Imad Othman and the president's Military Adviser Brigadier Abdul Muttalib Hennawi.



Conferees delved into the Telecom Data issue and its role in revealing latest crimes. They also discussed the necessary measures to help ward off dangers and maintain stability.
