NNA - MP Nadim Gemayel on Monday deemed it better to hold legislative elections as per the law of 1960 than not holding them at all, due to the absence of an electoral law and to avoid power vacuum.



Gemayel told Al Sharek radio that Hezbollah was after a parliamentary vacuum, as it sought a change of balance and strategy in the region.



He then criticized Hezbollah's approval of the Orthodox Gathering draft law at the Parliament without considering the rejection of MP Walid Jumblatt and the Future bloc of this law.



On the government formation issue, Kataeb MP stressed that Hezbollah sought participation in the upcoming government to monopolize power and take control of the political decision.



Gemayel finally stated that Lebanon was witnessing a critical period yet; no one would be supporting a new war or even a new conspiracy against Lebanon.
