NNA - Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, met on Friday with the Greek Catholic Archbishop of Zahle, Issam Darwish, with talks reportedly focused on most recent developments.
"We discussed general issues, especially those concerning Zahle city," said Darwish on emerging, adding that talks also touched on the paramount importance of reaching agreement over a fair electoral formula.
Berri later had an audience Major General, Jamil Sayyed, with talks reportedly focused on general developments.
The House Speaker also received Caretaker Social Affairs Minister, Wael Abu Faour, who said in the wake of the meeting that he had been tasked by Jumblatt to negotiate a number of issues, most importantly the cabinet formation process.
"Opposite to what's being said, things are not as complicated," Abu Faour said, making clear that Salam remains strongly attached to his political ceiling, no matter what stances he gets from both sides of the Lebanese political divide.
"The National Struggle Front is fully convinced that there can be reached a solution that balances between the constitutional logic and the righteous demands of political forces," said Abu Faour.
