NNA - "Lebanese Forces" bloc member Deputy Antoine Zahra stressed that the new Cabinet's role would be to approve a fair electoral law in order to hold the upcoming elections.
"Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam's Cabinet should not include polls candidates," the MP said during a meeting with Lebanese community in Cleveland - Ohio.
Zahra criticized the previous Cabinet and its failure to deal with many issues including the security situation which led to the increase of the abductions and arms smuggling.
"Lebanese Forces Party has suggested controlling the border with Syria and preventing smuggling or infiltration of terrorist groups in Lebanon," Zahra added.
He confirmed that it was the interest of the Cabinet to leave the border open without taking any measures to serve the Syrian regime.
"Today after the Syrian regime is in danger the Cabinet took quick measures to prevent the transfer of weapons into Syrian territory," Zahra said.
On the other note, Zahra called on the expatriates to register their names in the Lebanese embassies to fulfill their duties in the ballot in case they would not be able to attend to Lebanon.
