NNA - Sheikh Salem Al-Rafi'i escaped an assassination attempt as he was leaving a mosque in Tripoli Monday evening, NNA correspondent in the North reported.


An anonymous fired a machine gun against Rafi'i as he was leaving "Al-Taqwa" Mosque following prayers but the bullet missed target, settling instead in the Mosque's entrance door. Rafi'i fortunately suffered no injury as a result of the incident.
