NNA - Progressive Socialist Party disclosed that the shooter involved in the Bakaata-Shouf dispute has been handed-in to the concerned authorities.


This came in a communiqué issued by the Party on Saturday, in the wake of open fire exchanged between supporters of the Party, on one hand, and Arab Unitarian Party supporters, on the other hand. The dispute has led to the injury of three civilians.


The PSP communiqué stated that the clash was of a personal nature, having no political background whatsoever. It added that in commitment with the law and justice, the perpetrator was handed-over to authorities for necessary judicial measures to take course.


Furthermore, the Party stressed that internal stability is one of its fixed constants. Hence, it added that any attempt to jeopardize stability can never be tolerated under any circumstance.
