NNA - Minister of the Displaced Alaeddine Terro said that issues in Lebanon are getting worse not only on the street but also within the institutions.
"The parliament is disrupted, there is no communication among Lebanese political leaders and there are attempts to drag the country into strife," Terro told Sharq radio on Tuesday.
Commenting on the issue of the salary scale, Terro said that the cabinet would study during Thursday's session the taxes which are to be imposed to fund the salary scale; and if that would not have negative impact on the Lebanese economy and currency, the cabinet would approve the salary scale and refer it to the Parliament.
Separately, Terro confirmed that the elections is one of the hottest issues in the country and is leading to severe division.
He added some parties believe that the endorsement of the elections' electoral body is an attempt to carry out elections based on 1960 law, explaining that this is a misconception because the body would suit to control elections according to any law whatever is the structure and content of the applied law.
Terro stressed that elections should take place on schedule.
